Our Day at the Circus...

At the last minute we decided to get tickets to the circus that was in town for the 4th of July weekend.

We went on Sunday at 11:30 (which we now realize was probably not the best time to go...but lesson learned!).

We arrived early which meant that we could go down on the arena floor and explore, participate and watch some of the events they had going on.

Lia tried on a fancy jacket and looked mighty cute...


Next we had to get in the family picture :)


Lia was then invited to participate on one of the clowns juggling acts! She was beyond excited!! and she was certainly the littlest one out there!

It was a great show and Lia loved all the excitement! She told me that the elephants were her favorite!



but...as time went on, the excitement was not enough to keep our little one AWAKE! We were cutting WELL into nap time and it was very obvious that she was fading FAST!
She fell asleep first in the chair, then on me and then Joey had to carry her out...asleep. (See Joey--this is proof that our kid can sleep through anything---he always gets on me about making noise at night after she's asleep--but if she can sleep through the circus--she can sleep through the minor noise I make, ha! :))




Even though she missed the end, she still had a great time and talks about her trip to the circus to this day! They really did put on a great show and some of the stunts they did were amazing!
